Ghost stories abound in the lowcountry, and Detective Andy Winslow is about to find himself in the center of one.


Andy Winslow grew up hearing campfire tales of the Scarecrow; a monster that stalked the lowcountry's rural areas, killing people with a vengeance. Now, with farmers and their families around Charleston being murdered in record numbers, people start talking about the Scarecrow again.


Andy doesn't believe in ghost stories, though. He knows that the sort of monster behind this is of the decidedly human variety, and it's his job to find them.
