Cuore

Cuore is a diary-style novel written by Italian writer Edmondo De Amicis. It is about the life of a third grade student, Enrico, and takes place over the span of one school year. Enrico was born in a happy and harmonious family, works hard in school, and he lives life sincerely, amicably, and keenyly. He is simple, kind, innocent, honest, compassionate and determined. Dispersed within the book, there are also "stories" that the teachers tell their students every month as well as articles Enrico's parents write for him.
