About

A healthy gut is a happy digestive system.

When your gut is healthy, the rest of your body hums along happily. That's because your gut influences everything from your digestion to your brain and your immune system.

However, if your gut isn't at its healthiest, your body tends to have a way of sending some distress calls. That may look like obvious digestive symptoms (think: gas, bloating, constipation, and diarrhea) or some less obvious signs (poor concentration, fatigue, and skin problems)

My experience with gut health problems is an unforgettable one. I was diagnosed with a disease called gastroesophageal reflux disease early last year. I was always feeling bloated and thought it was normal because of the food I ate. I spoke to a doctor who prescribed some medicine to relieve the pain. Early this year, I found some food supplements and information that really helped me with my gut problem and since then I have been feeling better and healthier.

I now feel so empowered and liberated. My friends even told me that I look like I am glowing. I took control over my own life and I decided that I would not allow my gut health problems to take the driver's seat anymore. I treat my body with kindness and respect. When I do sense a reaction (such as bloating) I don't become angry with my body like I used to do. I actually thank it for telling me that something isn't quite right.

That's the beauty of this book— you will learn how to listen and understand your body's cues and respond to your gut reaction. My body and I have become a team. Now, I know that in order to heal you need to listen close and not see your body/gut as something outside of yourself. Because it's an essential part of you. It's amazing how quickly my body told me that I made the right decision and you can too.
