Ever since Jamie Evans swung her piercing eyes my way in the courtroom, I haven't been able to stop drawing them. I don't think anyone's ever looked at me with such utter hatred.
But I never blamed her. She believed a lie. So did the jury.
Convicted of a murder I didn't commit at the age of nineteen, I've spent sixteen years in prison with her loathing eyes haunting my dreams and my sketchbooks.
Now I'm out on parole, hoping that one day I can convince her I'm innocent.
And then maybe, just maybe, I can change the way she looks at me.
