It is, of course, essential for us to know Jesus, but his fervent desire is that we may also know the Father so intimately that we can ask him for whatsoever we will in Jesus' name and our prayers may be granted. By the Holy Spirit, we can have such deep and intimate communion with Jesus and the Father, that seeing our love for one another, everyone shall know that we are his disciples (John 13:35).

Russell Stendal, a former hostage of Colombian rebels, is a lifelong missionary to that same group in the jungles of Colombia.
