Marie-Catherine Le Jumel de Barneville, baronne dAulnoy, ne Barneville-la-Bertran vers septembre 1652, et morte Paris le 14 janvier 1705, est une femme de lettres franaise.
Elle est lune des autrices lorigine du genre crit du conte merveilleux. A la diffrence dauteurs comme Charles Perrault, qui ont tch de polir la matire littraire quils laboraient, elle a insuffl un esprit subversif en usant dallgories et de satires. Son travail de cration littraire est souvent rapproch de celui de Jean de La Fontaine pour sa critique masque de la cour et de la socit franaise du XVIIe sicle.
