About

This is the third and final book in the Lands of our Ancestors historical novel series, which follows three generations of a Chumash Native American family in California as they try to survive wave upon wave of colonization. Kilik, Tuhuy and the rest of the members of this family step into the Gold Rush Era and the early years of California statehood, which prove to be more dangerous and deadly than previous historical eras. After making a long journey to avoid being found by colonial settlers, and settling in temporarily with other Native tribes, the family is finally able to return to their ancient home in the lands of their ancestors.
