About

Sometimes, the perfect man is right under your nose . . .

Ally has just got out of a long-term relationship with the lovely but unfortunately extremely predictable Francis. It's hard enough being single but harder still when your Dad continues to meet your ex every weekend to play golf . . .

She decides to focus on a new man - after all, she's always had a crush on confident, sporty William from work. That is, until she goes and gets herself fired from her corporate office job in the worst 'Reply All' gaffe of the century.

So Ally pulls up her socks and gets a job at her lovely local café. There she meets hunky, down-to-earth Pete, the builder. They're having such craic together, it's a shame that he's clearly so hung up on his ex . . .

Ally is trying to figure out who she is and what she wants, but will she see that her true love has always been Mr Right All Along? Isobel started acting in Trinity College Players and from there moved into professional theatre, where she was awarded 'Best newcomer to the Irish Theatre' and went on to work in theatre and TV including playing a fantasy-prone barmaid in the series Glenroe for sixteen years. Isobel has written for TV soap and for theatre, including Party Face, which ran off-Broadway. She is also a qualified psychotherapist. Underneath it all, however she's basically lazy and loves to dance to eighties club classics with Muffin the dog or drink coffee while staring blankly out the window. Isobel lives in Dublin with her daughter, Jessica, and partner, Mark. A fun, fresh and laugh-out-loud Irish rom com. Author is based in Dublin, Ireland. Perfect for fans of Mhairi McFarlane, Beth Moran, and Maxine Morrey. Isobel starred in the Irish series, Glenroe, for 16 years and now has a regular slot on RTÉ radio. Reviewed in Ireland's Own, interviewed on Saturday morning TV and East Coast radio.
