The inhabitants live in gloomy corridors with no ends in sight, appearing here not only with no memory, but also totally deprived of their limbs. They are all "volitional nullforms," meaning that they agreed to this fate, and despite no one remembering when or why they did so, they all strive to survive at any cost.
Number 11, known to all as Elb, has no intention of eking out a miserable existence, wanting instead to understand what is going on. Having begun by restoring order in their native outskirt, he and his team progress ever further, crushing their enemies and earning points from the System.
In Book 8, Elb remains faithful to his calling in Zombieland. He may succeed where hitherto nobody has succeeded and complete the Blue Light mission. On the way, Elb contemplates the next location, Crontown, legendary city of true heroes. In the meantime, appearing unexpectedly on the horizon are some folks who sometime quit Elb's squad.
