Bollinger has studied alternative and nontoxic treatments for cancer, as well as cancer prevention tactics, as part of an effort to educate the public and especially cancer patients about how to combat cancer without harsh drugs or procedures.

Cancer is a chronic disease that occurs when healthy cells come into contact with carcinogens or other toxins and then become malignant. The formation of cancer cells is a normal occurrence, and the immune system is naturally designed to ward off the growth of these mutated cells before they cause disease or form tumors. But the immune system itself can be compromised, possibly because of overexposure to environmental toxins or lack of proper nutrients...
