What can I say about the girl?
For starters, she's smart. And beautiful. With a whole lot of spunky attitude.
Oh…did I happen to mention that she hates me with the passion of a thousand burning suns?
And that's putting it mildly.
Whitney is the one girl on campus who's always been on my radar. But she's not a puck bunny working her way through the Hellcat team roster, so I've made it a point to steer clear. After college, I'll be headed to the NHL. I'm a free agent with a ton of options. I'm not interested in being tied down. Well…that's not altogether true, but you get where I'm going with this.
Here's where it gets messy. In a moment of drunken weakness freshman year, I broke my number one rule regarding Whitney. Needless to say, it was a f*ck and flee situation. Not one of my finer moments.
Over time, most girls could be charmed into forgiving me.
Whitney is the exception to that rule. I don't think she'd spit on me if I were on fire.
Unfortunately for Whitney, all hell is about to break loose. She may not like me, but for the time being, we're stuck scheming together. And who knows? Maybe by the end of this, I'll finally thaw that icy exterior of hers.
