In the first chapter of this book, the author describes the reasons for his escape and the resistance movement he was a part of during his former life in the German Democratic Republic. In the second chapter called "Traveling," Omananda discovers the world from a wild backpacker's point of view. In a search of freedom, he explores the USA, Central America, parts of Asia, and India.
In the third chapter "Violent Awakening" glimpses of an unknown and magical world open possibilities into non-ordinary states of consciousness that culminate into an unexpected mystical near-death experience and a spiritual awakening.
