Perched nearby, two ravens-Elijah's loyal friends-watch with suspicion as the buzzards drop in. They know Queen Jezebel's prophets are up to no good. But the buzzards? They aren't interested in prophecies or truth. They have one motto:
"You die, we dine. We clean up the world for dinner!"
The false prophets go first, crying out to Baal, dancing, shouting, even cutting themselves-but nothing happens. No fi re. No answer.
Then Elijah steps forward. And just to prove there's no trickery, he orders water- not once, not twice, but three times- poured over the sacrifice until it's soaked.
