These words end the preface and begin the reader's journey into the life and mind of Byrdy Lynn. From a profoundly troubled childhood come unflinchingly honest stories of abuse, neglect, violence, isolation, and blatant racism-a litany of events that left the author suffering from PTSD and suicidal depression.
As in any life, there are moments of brightness, but these are few and far between. Nonetheless, Through the Storm of Early Trauma is not told from a place of anger or resentment.
