Viento del pueblo recopila los poemas escritos por Miguel Hernández durante la Guerra Civil Española. Obra comprometida militar y políticamente, recoge versos de una fuerza y un desgarro que contrastan con el tono lírico e íntimo de buena parte de su obra anterior. La poesía bélica y de urgencia de Miguel Hernández parte de lo popular, del pueblo al que hace referencia el título de la obra, de su miseria, sufrimiento y dolor... pero no solo hay violencia en ellos, también hay esperanza en una victoria y en un mañana que se construyen desde la vanguardia bélica como un esfuerzo colectivo. Siendo una obra poética volcada en la propaganda de la causa y en la que el autor se desprende de matices, recurre principalmente al romance como estructura, y aporta un hermoso testimonio poético de un evento traumático para España, sus gentes, y su literatura.

Being a propaganda contribution to the cause in which the author takes a clear position without room for nuances, it relies in the poetic structure of "romances” and provides a beautiful poetic testimony of a traumatic event for Spain, its people, and its literature.
