Jack Powers left Iowa January 1st, 1990. In the 1990's you didn't talk about your feelings, desires, or emotions with anyone unless they involved marriage, kids and a dog. It was a time when Mathew Sheppard was tied to a fence post and left to die simply because he was different. Jack would leave the familiarity of home and family, and be forever changed by "Florida man" culture. For Jack, the shock would be equivalent to being jolted back to life with a defibrillator. His journey could lead to disaster, or possibly to a love that had alluded him his entire life. His new found family would provide a lifetime of hi-jinx and humor, as Jack struggles to find his way and his true love.
