About

Lynn has designed this colorful children's calendar as an organizational tool for teachers who use the SIOP (Sheltered Instructional Observational Protocol) model of instruction. Lynn is an artist who holds a Masters Degree as an ESL teacher. She has developed several lesson plans using art as a venue to help diverse language learners understand and learn how to use proficient English. The SIOP model is the result of the work of Jana Eschevarria, MaryEllen Vogt, and Deborah Short. Lynn wanted to honor them by creating this calendar which helps students comprehend content material.
