It's New Year and a new term is beginning at Clearwater High. The young shape-shifter Carag is excited to go on his first study expeditions into the human world with his friends. But his former mentor, Andrew Milling, is out for revenge and suddenly Carag feels like he's being watched at every turn. Is he still being spied on at the school for woodwalkers? As things take a turn for the worse, Carag is surprised when Tikaani, the Arctic wolf, takes his side and offers her help. But surely a wolf will always stay true to her pack.
