The idea of tying each principle or trait to a specific room, which is very much like the "memory palace" idea whereby people are asked to memorize a long speech or presentation by envisioning walking through their childhood home and placing mentally items they want to remember in each room, when you present, the mind walks through the house and acquires the memory stored there. Perhaps easier said than done, but that's the principle. This book touches on the belief that thoughts must have a place associated with it. We tend to think thoughts are isolated units, apart not only from our emotions, but also from the surroundings in which they are conceived. This couldn't be farther from the truth. Thoughts are tied to emotions and places. It is given its own designated place, independent or whatever happens outside of it. This way thoughts are protected and can be acquired by anyone who has access to the system — and my system is the construction of a house and the significance of each room in that house.
