Apparently, conditions on twenty-second-century Earth are so bad that the damned actually find Hell enjoyable. The cause soon becomes apparent: God is missing. Worse, Hopper is the one charged with finding him. Dragged onto a near-future Earth alongside an angel-in-training named Lyra, Hopper must navigate megachurch grifters, endless subscription services, and the horrifying realization that humanity has perfected torturous entropy in a way he couldn't even dream of.Broadsheets In Hell is a savage yet heartfelt satire about faith, perseverance, and the power of choice. An absolute must-read for fans of dystopian fiction and satirical takedowns of modern trends. A.W. Spence, known to friends as Alex, is an Asian American sci-fi and fantasy author from Los Angeles, California. Alex spent the first decade of his career working in politics and, upon obtaining his Master of Public Policy degree from UC San Diego, moved into the policy consult space, focusing first on social inequality and later on security and artificial intelligence. Inspired by prolific fantasy novels from his favorite authors, in 2021 Alex decided to pursue his lifelong dream of writing and publishing. Since then, his focus has been writing fantasy and science fiction that center cultural inspiration and voices that were uncommon in mainstream fantasy when he was growing up. This began with his first novel, Dragonslayer: Into The Fire, where he drew from his Chinese heritage, and continued with his second book, Grimstone, in which he drew from Indigenous American culture. Beyond his books, Alex is a fierce advocate for marginalized voices in his chosen genres and works to bring as many voices to the table as possible. When he isn't writing, Alex can usually be found late at night, delving into horror movies.
