They have been looking all over the city for Micah Morgan- the Renegade Leader, also known as the only remaining active member of the Last American Renegades. Almost all her life, she had lived as a fugitive, determined to bring down the New Government and save humans from being turned into unfeeling, controllable robots. The loved ones she had lost over the years' fuel her to keep going, no matter what it takes.
Just when Micah was finding out more and nearing the truth, she is captured by a cyborg named Drake who had been hunting her down to collect information that would confirm his own suspicions. Together, they come up with a plan to rescue Drake's sister, destroy the drugs that manipulate people, and expose the evil scheme of the government.
In the process, Micah and Drake's attraction to one another intensifies, leading them to also explore their growing relationship. Is there hope for a romantic union even after their joint mission? Are their roller-coaster emotions misleading them or is there really love blossoming between them?
