"Changing of the Guard" is the Fourth book in a series for young boys, and girls. Where you are taken through 35 years of the life of Five teens and their friends of the Grand Apple Valley Adventure Club and Great, Great, Aunt Nellie McKelly, a former MI-5 Agent and Heiress. These stories are reminiscent of the turn of the century 1900's "Rite of Passage" stories for young teen's.In "Changing of the Guard", the Grand Apple Valley Adventure Club members find themselves dealing with a new Bully in School. Jake Lake becomes a Police Officer, and our Adventure Club members are going back to the Copper Ore Lodge and once again face a new villain, a ghost from the past. A Father returns from abroad and accepts his son's decision. We find love is in the air, and confessions. A new member is inducted in the Adventure Club, and Deputy Jake faces the sad duty of telling an old school Buddy his Father has been killed.In our final book of this series, "A Rite of Passage" brings our Grand Apple Valley Adventurers into Adulthood. The Twins run afoul of love smitten girls. A Rave comes to town, A new designer drug kills, and a new teacher isn't what she or he appears to be. The newest member of the Grand Apple Valley Adventure Club struggles with revenge. Oh, yes, let us not forget, girls are inducted into the Grand Apple Valley Club. Denny finds his past. In a "Rite of Passage" life starts with Birth, to Puberty, to Marriage, and finally Death. The boys grieve the loss of a member. With those that follow in our footsteps, the cycle starts over and over. And that is what the "Grand Apple Valley Adventure Club" is all about. I am a Award winning Poet, Writer, Artist, Sculptor, Pop Sociologist, an Inductee into the National Deans List, a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. I have been active in Community Service: Past Board Member of the Vine Neighborhood Association (3 terms), Membership Chair, Fund Raising Committee, Board secretary and interim Board Treasurer. Past member of the Recipient Rights Committee, County Mental Health Board. KVCC Public Museum Volunteer for 20 years. Involved in Community Theater for 50 years off and on most recent with the Kalamazoo Civic Theater since 1985. I have been apart of a Disaster Relief team for Hurricane Andrew in Florida helping feed 5000 people a day. I have be a home missionary worker with a local church administrating a shelter program for the homeless, Minister of the food Ministry, cook, and procurement of emergency food pantry items 1991-1992, I am a graduate of Kalamazoo Valley Community College 1998, Studies at Western Michigan University, Studies at Lansing Community College 1975, Graduate of Davenport College of Business 1974. Graduated Portland High School at age 21 in 1970. I was born in 1951 premature Twin with developmental issues, Learnings disabilities, and hearing impaired.
