Ray McAllister has always seen life a little differently. Born with a degenerative eye disorder, Peters anomaly, his youth was spent seeking connection and fulfillment in a world where the deck was stacked against him.
McAllister learned to beat those odds, excelling academically becoming the first completely blind person to earn a doctorate in the Hebrew Bible and, in his passion to share the scriptures with fellow blind readers, he earned a first prize from the National Federation of the Blind's Jacob Bolotin Award for making Biblical languages fully accessible for the blind.
