About

A desolate stretch of windswept scrub became one of Australia's most affluent suburbs. It had plenty of snakes but no natural attractions and buyers were few when Dover Heights was first subdivided.

Author Lyn Collingwood has worked as a high school teacher, social worker and encyclopaedist, but is probably best known as the town gossip Colleen Smart in the Australian soap 'Home and Away'. She grew up in Dover Heights when there were still pockets of undeveloped bush and daily deliveries of bread and milk.
