Frederick Robert Augustus Glover (1800-1881) has surprising answers based on amazing evidence in his 1881 book "England, the Remnant of Judah and the Israel of Ephraim: The Two Families Under One Head; a Hebrew Episode in British History." It is this public domain book that has been republished here for the convenience of the interested reader.
In introducing his book, Glover writes:
"THE INTENT of these pages is to PROVE,
"FIRST, that as, England is, in God's providence in possession of a Certain Stone, called JACOB'S PILLOW, which is the Seat of the Coronation Throne of the Empire, cherished and protected by her, in a very special manner, as her Chiefest National Muniment; so also, if it be the case that the Stone be Jacob's Pillow,
"SECONDLY, there must have been THE SEED ROYAL OF JUDAH to sit upon it, as certainly, if not as manifestly as,
"It has, THIRDLY, THE STANDARD OF JUDAH to wave above it: and, herein, that she, England, is entitled to be considered "The Remnant of Judah."
In 1881, Church of England pastor Frederick R.A. Glover (1800-1881), an accomplished scholar and a diligent antiquarian wrote 'England: The Remnant of Judah and the Israel of Ephraim' where he attempted to trace the line thought the daughter of the last of the kings of Judah into the British Isles. Her name according to various legends was Tea Tephi. He discusses the spectre of Judah, and ties that in with "the Sceptre of Queen Victoria" and Throne of David. Glover predicted that the United States might be clearly the promised 'Empire of Manasseh'. Upon his query, Queen Victoria in a most gracious letter informed Glover that she was already in possession of the facts of which he had spoken concerning her ancestral line, which gave him great encouragement in his work.
