The story wrestles with ideas of God's judgement and our relationship to God in the trying times of the destruction of Jerusalem by the Babylonians. It is the cry of, "Why me?" It is the cry expressed so beautifully by Habakkuk the prophet. And the answer he receives is, "The righteous will live by his faith or faithfulness."
