About

This book looks at women's issues today, tracing them back to ancient times. Women are the backbone of humanity. Without women, there is no human life. And yet...
The book underlines how women's status in society started deteriorating towards the middle of the Bronze Age. The power of women woke up the misogyny in men around 1500 BC. Still, matriarchy was the main practice of the people. It worsened considerably with the beginning of organized religions, especially the Abrahamic ones, and continued a downward spiral until late modern times. Women lost their power and voice and became relegated to subordinate positions. For the first time, the natural course of nature became an unclean time, and women were totally secluded from family life in some societies. It is gaining some ground, but not nearly enough.
The book also demonstrates the existence of women warriors around the world, from Asia to Europe to Africa to pre-colonial America. It brings to the fore some contributions of great unsung women and the ostracizing of strong women who dared to break the mold.
This book is meant to encourage the feminist movements of today. Onward, women warriors!! The world is yours to retake and recreate!
