About

Performance Programs Company's Fundamentals of Agency in Texas is one of the six required 30-hour prelicense education courses every candidate for a Texas real estate salesperson license must complete before sitting for the state licensing examination administered by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC).
This course covers 14 chapters across four areas of study: the legal and practical foundations of agency, the full range of agency positions recognized under Texas law, the ethical and statutory obligations that govern licensee conduct, and the applied skills needed to represent buyers and sellers from listing through closing.
Topics include the Texas Real Estate License Act (TRELA), fiduciary duties, seller agency, buyer agency, intermediary brokerage, the NAR Code of Ethics, the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, the NAR settlement compensation framework, fair housing and lending laws, escrow accounts, and the Real Estate Recovery Trust Account.
Each chapter opens with learning objectives and closes with a Snapshot Review summarizing key rules, definitions, and principles for focused exam preparation.

Performance Programs Company sells other Texas prelicensing books including Principles of Real Estate Practice in Texas, Texas Real Estate License Exam Prep, Essentials of Contract Law in Texas, Texas Promulgated Contracts Practice, and more.
