Everything that has happened since Israel started its new war on June 13, 2025 seems to have made the whole situation in the Middle East even more complex, messy and uncertain.What challenge will Israel face next?Is the USA going to continue its seemingly endless military supplies to Israel to replace all the ammunition and missiles expended in this war?Is Israel going to press on with the never-ending Gaza war?Has the USA under Trump finally given up on a nuclear deal with Iran?What will now happen to Iran's nuclear program?Is there any incentive anymore for Iran to re-engage with the West and the IAEA on the nuclear issue?What will happen to all the political and economic sanctions against Iran?Is the Israel-Iran ceasefire temporary or permanent?Is the USA done yet with its attack on Iran?Clearly, the world is at the proverbial crossroads.Which way should it go?Should it go into a full-fledged militarism mode all round, and a deadly killing spree all over the world?Or should it pull back from the precipice of total destruction and extinction, and try cooperation and collaboration to achieve a durable peace?That is the final test of human wisdom, or stupidity.
