Meet Cassie Gellar. She's freshly sixteen, a loner, and is moving across the country with her family to the strange coastal town of Horn-Horn.

But Cassie's biggest challenge comes when she walks home from school and gets lost in the local woods... only to find a little boy in a hollowed-out tree. Who is he hiding from, and why are his wrists in shackles?
Cassie soon finds herself amidst a war between the worlds as she learns that the boy, Zag, has a very sought-after magical gift - he can grant wishes!
