Hunter's Bride

Dottie is an orphan who has spent her life longing for a home where she truly belongs. After becoming the sole survivor of a tragic accident, she is taken in by the Kinsleys and begins to hope that her deepest wish has finally been granted. But when she accompanies Hunter and his little brother, Rusty, to care for a family in need, Dottie discovers another kind of belonging that makes her question where her future lies.

Because of his mixed Indigenous heritage, Hunter has endured prejudice and cruelty. Determined to protect Rusty from the same treatment, he plans to take his brother to the Canadian Territories in search of a safer life. When winter halts their journey, the brothers seek shelter with the Kinsleys, and Hunter accepts work offered by Preacher Kinsley. After encountering the Talbot family, who need the help of both a man and a woman, Hunter asks Dottie to join him.

As Dottie and Hunter care for the Talbots, they find within the family's home the acceptance, purpose, and security they have both been seeking. Yet their refuge cannot last forever. To build a lasting home of their own, Dottie and Hunter must overcome the pain of rejection, release their fear of an uncertain future, and risk trusting one another with their hearts.
