It was still scary for the young girl even though she got away from him, though. This scene is not described in the book at all. All that is said is that it happened, and then Harper finds out the girl got away.You should also know that there is physical violence in this book when a drunk man comes to the Landing. Our characters are going to help each other get through this. Tamara Earthsong grew up on an island on the East Coast, and has loved books since she was old enough to read. There's nothing better than curling up with a tasty snack, a soft blanket, and a good book. Eight years ago, she made the move to Toronto and loves being in a large city. Transit is great (trust me, you don't want her driving!).

The Healing Hearts series began as a writing exercise to create characters she wished were her friends in real life, and grew from there. Because of this, she loves all her characters very much and wishes they were real. She hopes you will grow to love these characters as well.
