Reviews

"Max visits his doctor for a yearly checkup. The doctor measures how tall Max is and how much he weighs. He takes Max's blood pressure and listens to his heart. Max also gets his eyes and ears checked, and the doctor takes his temperature. Max ends his visit with a shot to help keep him healthy and a sticker for being brave. This book is part of the purple level of the "Read-it! Readers" series. This series utilizes high frequency words and simple language to explore basic topics. Children will find it easy to relate to this story while they practice their reading skills. The pages are well organized with clear text and vibrant illustrations. This would be a great book to have in the waiting room at the pediatrician's office. It would also be a terrific addition to any home library. Reading this book before a doctor's appointment will help comfort children who are nervous about going for a checkup."
