Ulster is a land rich in the relics of prehistoric man. From the age of ice and mammoths, to the time of the earliest farmers and the craftsmen of the Bronze and Iron Ages, an astonishing array of artefacts and archaeological remains has come down to us. The past is gradually yielding up its secrets as more and more sites are excavated and scientific techniques are developed and perfected.
