A history of science fiction fandom in Australia. Part One: 1936 to 1961.
Dr Leigh Edmonds has been active in science fiction fandom for over fifty years and an academic and professional historian for over thirty. He has participated in all aspects of fannish activity including organizing conventions and clubs and has published over 700 fanzines.
As a historian he has practiced in fields including teaching, oral history, heritage, museums and written journal articles, book chapters and heritage studies.
He has also had published a dozen commissioned histories and one science fiction short story.
