About

Tilly Kinsley returns home carrying both physical and emotional scars after being rejected by the family she had hoped to join. Although Glory is familiar, so is its relentless gossip. Eager to escape the townspeople's curious stares, Tilly volunteers to care for two young girls on a ranch outside town. The isolated ranch offers her a refuge-but not from the attention of the girls' stepfather.

Since his wife's death, Lance has struggled to raise her daughters, who seem to hate him for reasons he cannot understand. Unsure whether keeping the girls is best for them, he reluctantly accepts Tilly's help out of necessity. Lance has no desire to marry again, yet he cannot ignore the wounded woman whose haunted eyes reflect a pain much like his own.

As Tilly and Lance care for the girls, confront a dangerous bear, fight to save an injured colt, and face the disapproval of Lance's father, they are forced to rely on one another. Their shared hardships gradually build trust and reveal the compassion beneath their guarded exteriors. But to claim a future together, they must overcome rejection, grief, and the wounds that have left them afraid to belong. In one another, they may finally find the healing, hope, and family they have both been missing.
