Eve Kinsley is still nursing the heartbreak Cole Carter caused when he left her two years earlier to seek his fortune in the gold fields of northwestern Montana. Although she has no shortage of suitors, Eve devotes herself to caring for those in need. Her charitable work leads her to the home of a newcomer whose elderly mother and aunt require assistance-only for Eve to discover that the house belongs to Cole.
