About

This book was written to share with others the author's experiences and thoughts as they relate to several acquaintances society and our environment and nature. My hope is that the poems and stories though sometimes personal will inspire those who read them to search for and remember their stories. My wish is for this little book to bring a smile to someone's face and for a moment make them happy. My inspiration to write was fueled by my desire to recall memorable times and situations and share them with others. Daily motivation to write was accompanied by beautiful solo piano music as pen was put to paper. It is with great honor and humility that these stories be shared.
Wayne A. Binning is a native of the Oakfield, Wisconsin, area, where he was raised on a small dairy farm and attended Genesee Public School for eight years. He graduated from Oakfield High School in 1967. He gained his formal education at what is now the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Today, he is retired after spending most of his career as a field supervisor in the canned vegetable industry. He currently lives in north central Wisconsin between Wausau and Antigo. He and his wife, Tanya, enjoy the wooded peaceful setting in which they live and watch all of nature's critters just outside their door.
