Amazing Grace: how we love to sing that song! For many Christians, however, the reality of God's grace has grown to be a distant memory. Somehow, the sweet fellowship once shared with Jesus has been replaced by taunting accusations, torment, and unrest fueled by constant doubts that relentlessly invade their mind. This is a battle Christians have been warned about and have been equipped to fight. Yet many are caught off guard when the enemy strikes and some are taken captive. Once captured these spiritual POWs are held in a mental prison run by a cruel warden who delights in taunting his captives, knowing they will engage him whenever he calls. Over and over his prisoners battle him, only to suffer defeat every time. Those who are held captive in this prison of the mind eventually come to believe there is no escape; however, they are mistaken-there is a way to freedom. However, freedom can never be obtained by you, it can only be obtained for you; and for this, you will need an advocate.
