"In this tongue twister, Flick and Flack are fairies who are best friends. Flack has a problem manipulating his wings, but Flick seem to be doing better. Flick and Flack are in their first year of flying school, and after a lesson from their teacher, they proceed to practice what they have learned. After some unsuccessful attempts, they help each other and soon begin to fly. The teacher is happy for them and how they worked together. Lively and cute illustrations add interest to the simple story. Young readers will learn that the "ph" in the word "phrase" makes the "f " sound. The series is based on reading levels, and this story is a green level, which "presents more complex ideas, an extended vocabulary range, and expanded language structures."
