About
Part love story, part war story, part adventure story. The narrative follows US Army Private Bill Collins as he navigates through his life during the American War in Viet Nam. There is the girl Kim Lon who lives in the nearby village of Tam Hiep. There are the other GIs who live and work with Private Bill Collins in tents on the fringe of the Long Binh Army Post that's located twenty miles or so north of Saigon. How those friendships progress and endure is part of the story. The romance that develops between the Private and the Girl is the rest of it.
