This is the complete Holy Bible as annotated by Fr. George Leo Haydock, and later revised by Oakeley. The original Haydock Bible was, published in Manchester England in 1811, and then, revised by Oakeley in 1878. This was the last original updating of the Haydock Bible, which reflected then current discoveries in philology, archaeology and science. This eBook version of the Haydock-Oakeley Bible has been, created with ease of use in mind. The notes are, linked within the Biblical Text. The table of contents makes it easy to move about the Bible by book and chapter. All of the supplementary material that was, found in the 1878 Bible is included, as well as some other additions, only found in the eBook version. The text of the Bible is a version of the Douay Rheims Bible, first published in 1582-1611. Therefore, the English uses "thee" and "thou" etc. However, it is no more difficult to read than a Dickens novel (aside from the notes, which can be scholarly.) This is a must have for any Catholic, that wishes to have a good study bible.
