About

The Inkwell Handbooks of Business and Economics are a series of extensive and rigorously researched reference works covering the fields of business, industry, entrepreneurship, finance, and economics from various angles. The present volume in this series, The Inkwell Handbook of Business and Economics Biographies, provides succinct yet detailed sketches of the lives of 138 past and present leaders in these fields. These sketches are presented in a series of articles on prominent figures from economist Daron Acemoğlu to Facebook-founder Mark Zuckerberg. Each of these articles is organized according to the following topics of discussion: the figure's early life and education; their career; their ideas; and their major writings.
James A. Barham, a consulting editor with Inkwell Press, was born in Dallas, Texas, in 1952. He holds a bachelor's degree in classics from the University of Texas at Austin, a master's degree in the history of science from Harvard University, and a doctorate in the history and philosophy of science from the University of Notre Dame.
