Millennium Art Academy and R.A.I.N. Present: Intergenerational Memories, Lessons, & Stories That Transcend Time
Millennium Art Academy is a high school located in The Bronx, New York that offers a program called The Millennium Pearl Initiative, where two generations come together to tell a story about perspectives, experiences, and life throughout the years. This program helps students engage and participate in community-building activities to get a better understanding of others' lives. Through a partnership with R.A.I.N and Bronx Bound Books, students stepped out of their comfort zone, reflected on their misconceptions, interviewed elders, documented their thoughts through poetry, and made powerful memories as scribes. We invite you to read their stories as well as the lessons they learned.
