This book on command line VMWare is the 3rd in my series on VMware for New Admins. At some point in our careers, we will have to do our first upgrade of VMware and some or all of its components. My first upgrade had a few bumps in the road. It could have been worse. My goal with this book is to help you have an easier time during your upgrade process and start on the path to creating your own blueprint or a successful upgrade. Having a successful upgrade doesn’t have to be difficult. As with anything that has several components, doing as much planning as you can up front and doing a test run in a lab situation can do a lot to avoiding problems later on.
