There is a famine in the land, but it is not of food or drink. There is a clarion call and a desperate need for godly wisdom in our society today (See 1st Kings 3:9-12 and Psalm 111:10a). While knowledge is increasing, wisdom is waning and has almost disappeared from the public square, from homes, and religious and educational institutions. We are being called to turn from folly and to respond to the call of wisdom (Proverbs 9, NKJV). This book, with its corresponding prayers in addition to your own, attempts to help readers to learn wisdom, and find knowledge and discernment that lead to an understanding and a more stable, peaceful, and successful life.
