Patricia has spent a lot of time escaping the thumb of her overbearing mother. She moved near her uncle's bakery, said goodbye to a potentially too-close-for-comfort romance, and decidedly started over. After all, the witch heiress knew what her future held if she stayed, and constant disappointment wasn't something she wanted to keep on her resume.
She may be crap at spells, but baking-the normal way, Patricia could do that with her eyes closed. Everything was fine until Uncle Jameson decided to disappear out of thin air. He's left Patricia in charge of his bakery with no answers to where he's gone or for how long.
