What happens when the world suddenly stops as we know it? In May 2020, as the planet plunged into a global pandemic, my life took an unexpected turn. What began as a journey forced by necessity turned into a profound exploration that led me to delve into the most remote and beautiful places and my inner world. As I traveled over 75,000 miles along the lonely roads of the United States, a new and uncertain landscape unfolded before my eyes. Amid moments of pain, loneliness, and transformation, I found solace in the gentle caress of waves on empty beaches. I shivered beneath star-filled skies and in ice-covered deserts. I discovered the subtle hues of dew-wrapped mornings and the most beautiful birds hidden in mangrove sanctuaries. Despite having over forty years of experience in photography, my cameras could capture lights and colors. Still, they couldn't convey the emotions that these paths evoked. That's why, in WONDER, my images are not alone; my words and my stories accompany them. The book features nearly 300 high-resolution photos and hundreds more in the digital galleries of each chapter.
