About

A traveling gravedigger adopts an orphan he finds alone in the desert. After the orphan is grown and the business slows down, the orphan begins to generate opportunities himself by shooting people

1971 Mexican film directed by José Bolaños, "Dead Aim" combines elements of Drama, Fantasy, Thriller, War, and Western genres. The movie portrays a unique blend of surreal storytelling and character-driven narratives, showcasing the diverse filmmaking approach of Bolaños.

A wandering gravedigger discovers an orphan in the desolate Mexican desert and decides to adopt him. United by a shared dream of owning a prestigious funeral parlor and cemetery, their paths soon diverge. The orphan, seeking quick success, becomes a hitman for hire, generating business for their future venture. The gravedigger, however, advises against criminal pursuits. The plot takes a turn when the orphan becomes infatuated with a prostitute, left behind by her outlaw partner after a failed gold wagon robbery. Driven by obsession, the orphan leaves the gravedigger to find her. As the narrative unfolds, it explores the consequences of choices, moral dilemmas, and the impact of one's past on the present.
