During the 1930s and early 1940s, there was essentially one woman director in Hollywood: Dorothy Arzner. In this documentary, directors Clara and Julia Kuperberg examine Arzner's uncompromising life and work, as she openly challenged notions of heterosexual romance both in her films and in her personal life.
